


Most of today’s ride was via ferry. After breakfast and lunch in Manitowoc, we rode to the dock, loaded our bikes on a vintage 1953 ship, and headed across Lake Michigan.
There doesn’t seem to be much to do in Ludington, as people come down to the dock to greet the ferry. Apartment dwellers sit out on their balconies and wave.
Disembarking after changing time zones, we rode to the first restaurant in sight. Due to an hour wait for a table, we moved on. Three of us found a Pizza Hut beyond our turn so we figured it might not be busy. It wasn’t. We were in and out quickly, then on to the school. Due to a 90% chance of rain at 5 AM, I’m sleeping in a hallway. It’s already past my bedtime so:
